Trial Overview
Participants enrolled in the trial will receive a comprehensive workup (or exam) for ADHD and other neuro-psychiatric disorders. The research is designed to study the association of EEG with a Best Estimate Diagnosis.
The trial will examine subjects who consecutively present with attention or behavioral problems at clinic. An important part of the study design is the inclusion of psychiatric conditions that present with ADHD-like symptoms.
Over a four to five week period, participants are given a workup including:
- A physical examination with hearing and vision tests
- IQ and other cognitive performance tests
- Common scales and interviews
- EEG (taken at multiple visits).
Results of the comprehensive workup are presented to parents and children at a final visit.
The EEG and EEG results are being investigated and will not be shared with parents and
children.
