For Patients and Parents
The tests and questionnaires used in this research study include interviews, IQ and achievement tests, and rating scales (completed by the study doctor and 1 or 2 of your child’s teachers). As parents, you will also be asked to answer questions based upon your impressions of your child’s behavior.
EEG measures the electrical activity of the brain by placing electrodes with conductive gel on your child’s scalp. The Neba™ EEG-based assessment aid is being studied as a tool to help in evaluating ADHD in children and adolescents. The device employed in this research is being studied under an Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) that allows unapproved medical devices to be utilized under particular conditions involving research and human subjects.
If you and your child decide that this study is appropriate for him or her, your part in the study will last between three and five weeks.
